Amiga Imager v0.99.6

v0.99.6 closes the loop: the app now tells you when a newer release exists - verified against a cryptographically signed manifest, never installing anything by itself. And package installs can target any drawer on any drive of an image, on the Mac and on the Amiga alike.

The app tells you about updates now

Once a day (and on demand via Amiga Imager → Check for Updates…), Amiga Imager checks a version manifest and shows a quiet banner when a newer release exists. The manifest is cryptographically signed with the same Ed25519 project key that protects the amipkg package catalog, and the app verifies that signature before trusting a byte - the web host is never trusted. Nothing downloads or installs itself: the banner's Details button simply opens the release notes in your browser. A Settings toggle turns the automatic check off entirely.

Install packages to any drive

The Manage Amiga Software window's Install Drawer now goes beyond SYS: - pick a preset, one of the image’s other drives, or type any path like Work:Software (validated against the image’s real volumes). Receipts record full paths, so amipkg on the Amiga manages those installs identically - and on the Amiga itself, amipkg dir Work:Software has the same effect.
